Monday Comics Episode 20: The Return of The Life-Taker, Pt. 1

I tried some different 3D techniques with this one, with varying degrees of success…

After almost 10 weeks of hand-drawn, 2D comics, I decided to go back to a 3D comic to do something different. Actually week 19 of Monday Comics had been a poll asking what people wanted.

I had a lot of positive feedback on the previous Life-Taker comic (for me “a lot” was probably 2 or 3 people), so I decided to give him another go.

Once again I was using Daz 3, although the Mac I had back then was starting to get a little long in the tooth. Because of this I had a devil of a time setting up my scenes and lighting. Rendering always went lightning quick, since it wasn’t realistic, but I had to fight the program every other step of the way.

The events of this comic lead directly into the events of my fantasy novel The Life-Taker.
