With this one, we’re nearing the end of my Hypertransitory “Monday Comics” phase of work.
After having a ton of issues with my 3D program Daz Studio when I was working on The Return of The Life-Taker, I decided I would go back to a good old-fashioned 2D drawn comic (although I did use some simple 3D buildings in the backgrounds).
Well, I tell ya, it’s 6 of one, half-dozen of the other when it comes to difficulties with 2D and 3D comics.
In 2D, I suddenly have to worry about perspective, anatomy, coloring, & consistency in each panel. But I don’t have to worry about my computer crashing because there’s too many objects in the scene. Or finding the correct props, or making the correct props, or trying to get the figure to pose decently.
Bottom line is there is always something that will drive you nuts!
Anyway, this one is the sequel to a comic I did that actually pre-dates Monday Comics, which was just called “Old Man Winter“.
I can’t remember why I decided to revisit the character, but it was probably another cold winter here in Wisconsin, USA, and I was kicking myself for still living here.
I think by this time maybe a smattering of folks were reading these, and I was really feeling kind of bad about my inability to get eyes on this stuff, so I knew the end was near.
